JeI Distt Prez Bandipora among two booked under PSA, shifted to Jammu jail | KNO

Bandipora, March 23 (KNO) : Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday booked two persons including Jamaat-e-Islami District president Bandipora under Public Safety Act (PSA). Officials told KNO that a Tehsil President of Jamaat-e-Islami from Ashtangoo village of Bandipora and a District president of Jamaat-e-Islami, from Gundpora Bandipora were today booked under PSA. They added that they were detained along with scores of Jamaat affiliated workers last month, and were today booked under Public Safety Act in North Kashmir's Bandipora district for allegedly disrupting the "law and order". The JeI affiliate were identified as Hafiz Mohammad Sikender Malik son of Ab Gani Malik a resident of Gundpora Bandipora and Ali Mohammad Shaikh son of Mohammad Sultan Shaikh a resident of Ashtangoo village Bandipora were slapped with PSA and were sent to Kotbhalwal jail in Jammu. Talking to KNO, father of Hafiz Mohammad Sikender Malik, said that his son was going to be married in the month of June 2019, and he regretted that his son has already sent to Jammu jail. He further added that they were preparing for his marriage and her mother was also very happy because she knew that my son is going to get married in middle of June this year. (KNO)
